Co-Founder & Vice President of Services

Walter heads up the services side of the company. He's passionate about all things information technology and is a proud gadget geek - owning just about every type of personal technology you can think of. He's equally passionate about getting the right tools in the hands of businesses of all sizes to help them succeed. He believes CrossConcept is now, and will always be, a services company first that happens to develop and deliver a world class professional services tool called Continuum.

Throughout his diverse and steadily progressing 30-year career in the information technology sector he has held various positions relating to the design, building, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications. Walter started his career with EDS Canada as a System Engineer and progressed into IT management and project management roles at Universal Studios, Rogers, CIBC Finance, and Changepoint.

 

During his seven-year tenure at Changepoint, he managed the technical services team made up of project managers, technical consultants, developers, and quality assurance testers. His team designed and implemented customization's, custom reports, and complex interfaces to countless systems including Salesforce, Ceridian Payroll, Epicor Financials, Great Plains, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Financials.

Walter then moved on to be Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications for Organic, Inc. where his team managed all enterprise solutions. This included the Changepoint implementation which took advantage of the time, expenses, resource management, invoicing, metrics, and portfolio functionality. His team also oversaw the creation of over forty custom reports and interfaces to PeopleSoft for projects and expenses. He was then tasked with overseeing the creation of the project management office for the Toronto location.

 

Prior to heading up technical services full time at CrossConcept, Inc., Walter was the Director of the project management office for Momentum Advanced Solutions overseeing a team of program and project managers that oversaw complex custom web application development projects for customers such as Mercedes, Chrysler Canada, RIM, and Shoppers Drug Mart. He was able to implement best practice processes incorporating Changepoint into the project and resource management practice of his team.

Walter has been a member of the Project Management Institute for almost two decades and held the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation for six years.
